 The Action and Engagement Group 


Formed in January 2024 by the Old Hospital Trust. Current governing members are Liz Kelleher, Brigitte Shakespeare and Corinne Neale.

Through our work we hope to actively engage the communities of South Holland in Arts, Cultural and Wellbeing projects which add value and purpose to the lives of the local people and visitors to the area. Recent projects include: a four week residency at the Spalding Gentlemen’s Society, a Summer Youth Arts Residency at Ayscoughfee Hall, Spalding Reconnected with the river, Give it a Go Open Community Workshops, Tonic Health Youth and Adult Cooking Courses and Ayscoughfee Light Night.

Our collaborators include Tonic Health, Ryan Gilmartin, Transported Art, Storytellers, SHDC Communities, Daisy Smith, Mascara Film Club, Robbie King, Lily Smith, CVAN-EM, the Spalding Gentlemen’s Society, Children in Need, 100 Creative Agents of Change, In Place of War, Carey Crowhurst and Alice Aldis.

Our long-term aims are to develop and build opportunities and spaces for creatives, fostering a creative workforce that meets the demands of a growing creative cultural sector in the Southeast Midlands.
